This seems to be a standard now. It works in iTunes and QT too. Even Sibelius (a score writing program I use a lot) has recently changed from using P as a shortcut to using the space bar instead.

Thanks for that Dave, it's so much nicer and faster to use shortcuts rather than the mouse. It's good to know it works on itunes as well, it's less commands to remember cheers CC. I will try out kjams tonight at my regular Friday night session........Len

Just a thought. Some tracks run on for quite a while. If you type "command" + . (period) It stops the track. I used to use the play controls a lot. However these just pause the track and this often led kJams to produce unexpected behaviour.

At one time I was going to request an stop button next to the play/pause button but I have become used to the shortcut now.

That is good news. I think it will be an improvement. A lot of odd behaviour can be explained by the fact that a track has been paused rather than stopped.

STOP vs. PAUSE

I REALLY like using the ESC key instead of Command-Period
