Music stores not showing

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

Music stores not showing

Post by Karanight »

I've always updated my computers using a copy of kJams on a stick at the venues because thats where they live. I've never had the music stores enabled because if a track is needed the DJ tells me and I get it using my laptop at home.
Recently I've started updating the computers by logging on the internet at the venues and now I've got the music stores enabled so the DJ's can see whats available and I've not had any problems until the last one. I can't get TricerSoft to show the songs. I got a message saying that there's a new music store download and I've clicked to download TricerSoft but the songs aren't showing up when I click the TricerSoft store in the Source
Any advice
I get the two following windows when I open kJams.......is there a clue in them

first, please only upload PNG files. nobody uses TIFF files, and FireFox can't even show them inline. thanks.

second, no, these playlists not loading are not related to the music stores not loading. you should delete said playlists in the Finder before running kJams.

I must ask: do you have the activity window showing when you click "OK" to download the music store? does it complete? is there an error?

are you sure you do not have a search term in the store playlist? if you do, hit the "X" on the search.

There's one other thing that might help. I downloaded the store using a dongle and it was very slow but not as slow as when I downloaded the latest kJams and kJams loaded ok

try a more reliable internet connection?

or i think the default timeout is 30 seconds (in the freedb pref pane, i know), set it to something large like 300 (5 minutes), and see what happens.
