Moving KJams Lite from Desktop Mac to Macbook Pro

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

Moving KJams Lite from Desktop Mac to Macbook Pro

Post by powermixx »

What folders do I need to copy to my Macbook Pro? I moved my music to an external hard drive. I then changed the "Prefs|Advanced" folder location - on both Macs. When I open KJams Lite on the Macbook, no tunes :(

So I did some more digging. I see these other folders:

/users/%username%/Library/Preferences/kJams/

/Library/Application Support/kJams/

I also copied those folders from the desktop mac to the Macbook...still nothing - when I launch the app on the MBP, no tunes.

What folders do I need to copy to my Macbook Pro?

there is a section in the wiki regarding moving, click here.

basically the part you forgot was pointing your user kJams to the external library with an alias.
