I am a new user and using kjams lite to work with a karaoke track and to change the key. I have an audition that requires me to provide my backing track in an mp3 or wave file. Is it possible to take the modified track from kjams and to create an mp3 or wave? The song is in an mpeg-4 format. When I convert it, I need to insure that it retains the key modification.
Thanks,
Dan
how to save an mpeg-4 file as an mp3 or wave
Re: how to save an mpeg-4 file as an mp3 or wave
in the pro version, export the movie to quicktime using animation/lossless
then use quicktime player 7 to extract only the audio track
that will come back with the audio track pitch-bent
or
put that song in a playlist and press the burn button
when it is finished prepping, the burn dialog will come up, cancel it
now right click the playlist and pick "reveal"
that will show you the bin/cue file
drag the cue file to kjams
it will mount as a CD image
rip the song: it is pre-pitch bent

You can also just reveal the track in Finder, open the PCM audio in Audacity, change the pitch using the change pitch effect, and export to MP3 (requires LAME).
