TunePrompter isn't compatible with Snow Leopard

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

TunePrompter isn't compatible with Snow Leopard

Post by Karanight »

I've just had this email
Sorry for the trouble. The TunePrompter software isn't compatible with Snow Leopard at this time and I don't know of any plans on updating it

Yes. TunePrompter crashes when I click Create Video. The only time TunePrompter doesn't crash is when I have export for ipod/iphone selected and then the words are silly small

my first reply (okay first one when i knew what you meant) said "don't export to quicktime" from TunePrompter. maybe the "from TunePrompter" wasn't clear. I'll try again:

Don't export to QuickTime using TunePrompter.
let kJams do that. in other words: bring your TunePrompter file directly into kJams, and use kJams to export to QuickTime.
then again, if all you want to do is play it in kJams anyway there is no need to go to QuickTime at all.

I see
I thought I had to click create video and then I would have the karaoke track. So, if I make the track and save it then import the resulting .ktp into kJams It'll play.
Thanks

HAHA...seriously? I either didn't know or didn't remember that kJams could just use the KTP file. I dug up an older mac and exported from TunePrompter. *doh*

right. do NOT export from TunePrompter. just save the KTP file, quit, then drag it into kJams.

note: don't forget to set meta data while you're in TunePrompter.
