I sent a question to vanguardvisual.co.uk and asked "Does the Android have a web browser and Bonjour".
They answered Yes it does
So I'll get one and let you know the outcome. I wont get it for a while because it's coming from China

I got my people to say yes too, until it became clear that they were just saying yes to almost everything, with out much concern for whether it was true (Or if they even understood what I was asking in the first place)
Re: Some pics of my setup at Lava
yeah i'm very skeptical they even know what "bonjour" is.
Re: Some pics of my setup at Lava
I agree but I think the only way to find out is to get one. If It's no good for my use and the wife doesn't want as an xmas gift, I'll sell it
Re: Some pics of my setup at Lava
I sent a major suppler in the UK an email, "Maplin" asking if the Android has Bonjour and they don't know what it is. Can I put Bonjour onto the Android

Re: Some pics of my setup at Lava
The issue is not that Android can currently do BonJour, as it is, indeed, built in. The problem is that most of the cheap Android tablets (think aPad) only run android 1.5, which has an OEM software stack (i.e. browser is not necessarily Chrome) and no support for either an app store, or side loading of apps. As such, whether THOSE applications support BonJour is a crap shoot. I have not gotten any coherent and trustworthy answer to this. I can't even get some of them to send me a screen shot of the English language version of their interface!

A bit of a delayed update: I forgot to mention that although Chrome DOES have mDNS/BonJour (of course, seeing as it's webKit!) Google has STILL not exposed it in the UI, so you still have to enter the address by hand. That and the scrolling problem, but I am working on that!
