Re: Forum for ongoing public gigs
i'll have a url for you in a couple of days where you can pass in the your zip code, a milage radius, say 250 miles to start, and it will return to you an xml file which you can use. Just need to add to your page a zip code entry box so someone can enter their own zip and see whats in their area. Re...

Re: Subscription Services
I often use http://www.buykaraokedownloads.com. They have a large collection of songs. They do have a subscription service for new releases.

Re: Forum for ongoing public gigs
Going to be adding several items so the KJ can list if the place is smoke free, is full liquor and offers a full menu or just finger foods or no food at all. I will add a select box so the kj can select the type of software they use. As far as maps go, I did write a script for the original iPhone we...

Re: Crossfade playback between songs
While I definitely want the crossfade feature to be part of kjams, especially if it can do it from an existing iTunes playlist, the crossfade script noted above works quite well for now. Been using it recently and definitely does the job.

Consolodating Library
I wanted to make backing up my library easier so I decided to consolidate my library following dave's instructions in the documentation wiki. Wow...couldn't have been easier. Went with the "experimental" approach dave outlined in the wiki. Worked like a charm. kJams loaded up everything without a hi...

Re: Song book Generator
okay okay okay!! i hear you all about the need for a nice song book generator. I WILL make one, all slick and easy to use, with lots of layout options and stuff. But it's gonna hafta wait 'till i'm done with my current "thing" (you know what that is, i think). You ROCK dave! Output to pdf would be ...

Re: Moving Singers List About
in the finder, go to the venue that has the singer. find the singer's folder. make an alias of it. put that alias into the OTHER venue, where you want that singer to show up. rename the alias if you need to or want to get rid of the word "alias". get it? I have always planned on letting you do this...

Re: Song book Generator
Does anyone know of an app that will let you have your song list print indented, with the Artist listed once, and the song titles all below, "tabbed in". I use a windows app right now in parallels, but it's a pain copying/pasting to excel, saving a .csv, then importing into the windows app. I would...

Re: Moving Singers List About
I think you're missing some Macintosh 101: To make an alias to a file, select the file and pick File->Make Alias (in the menu bar). I think that's the only piece you're missing. You know where your venues folder is right? You got me pegged. Besides kjams, and Itunes, I'm pretty much a mac novice. I...

Not real up on the hole alias thing. Can you provide more info please or point me to some info that goes over setting it up? THe article above does not indicate how to set up and alias.
Thanks

Re: Moving Singers List About
I have several singers that go to a few of our shows at different venues. Is it possible to copy them into different venue lists and keep their songs? Right now it seems like I have to recreate each singer and their song lists.
