Re: Don't see intro
I wouldn't use Audacity for this. Use a lossless MP3 editor, like Fission, to add the 10 second silence. That way when you save you get EXACTLY the same audio track you started with, just with ten seconds in front of dead air. Otherwise when you re-encode, you WILL have a slight reduction in sound q...

Re: Webserver Links Safari issues
If you are willing to get cheap Android tablets, why not get cheap, older laptops, and just use the web server?

Re: Using kJams 2
To solve your LaunchPad issues the "correct" way in future, do the following: First, try just killing the Dock. Run Terminal from the Utilities folder, then type: killall Dock and hit turn, The Dock will quit then restart itself. This also kills LaunchPad. Most of the time, this will cause LaunchPad...

Re: Strange Problem
I modified the original iTunes Crossfader code in AppleScript many years back to crossfade between the currently set volumes for both kJams and iTunes. The Python code is basically based on the old AppleScript. But it should be able to crossfade correctly regardless of how low you start the playback...

Re: "Key" meta data: where does that come from?
That will be nice, for the people who know all of the stuff that Producer does that isn't in the tutorials. That would probably be me, since many of those weird, hidden mystery fields were added for my project with a certain evil karaoke company, based in the U.K., for whom I made thousands of prof...

I think his errors are due to not having all L, T, R, and S fields specified by his given template.

Re: Placeholder song
Just pick ANY song in your library, duplicate it in the Finder, rename it whatever you want, import it into kJams, and use that as you placeholder.

Re: Need a CDG file made
I have done literally thousands (you can see my work on Sunfly HD tracks).
I can do it if you need it, depending on how many and how much work they are.

Not pushing title case names
I save my files in title case. However, after importing a bunch of tracks, I noticed that after converting to title case and pushing, the actual file names did not change. I did this in both batches and single files, with no affect. I did it on both zipped file pairs and unzipped MP3+Gs. Still uncha...

Re: Considering Karaoke Cloud
Can we clarify what you're actually meaning by background vocals? Multiplexed vocals are the LEAD vocal, put in the track in such a way that it can be removed with a simple command. This is not the same thing as a background vocal, which is something like the harmony part sung by the band BEHIND the...

That's what I have been doing. It's a pain in the ass, and highly prone to error from typos, which bring everything to a screeching halt.

Re: Considering Karaoke Cloud
Howard: Even if you wanted to sing one background vocal in BR, there are 4 of them, many overlapping. Any way you do it, even with two people, ends up missing key parts of the song! This is even more pronounced in other songs. Sure, they could make a separate track with no background vocals at all, ...

Does copying from history to history preserve #Sung?
