Better late than never?
OK, so it is now almost 8 months after the original post, but if it helps anyone, just hold the control key down and scroll with the scroll wheel on a mouse. Instant eye strain relief.

I have it set to leave the originals alone and not to create a new Library entry, so things run smoothly for me, but in general I always run this upon first getting files in .mp3/CDG format, so as to save space, prior to importing them. This way kJams can serve as a backup check to make sure the arc...

I wrote a small BASH and Perl script utility that takes folders from the Finder and goes through them and puts pairs of CD-G and MP3s together and zips them, saving space. I wrapped it in an automator workflow that can be added to the contextual menu for folder actions, so you can use it anywhere, o...

Minor interface bug
Small minor bug: When you edit the metadata fields, and tab from entry to entry, The song moves to match its new place in the alphabetical order, but the edited field does not. This gives the illusion that you are editing the next field of a different song. After you tab again, things right themselv...

Well, it appears to be related to the "skip silence at beginning of track" feature. After clearing the cache, it still would not play. I then unchecked the above option, and it played fine. After reinstating the feature, it still played fine. Here is some more debug information: After deleteing the ...

Song won't play
So I stumbled upon a weird "bug." When I tried to play "Purple Haze by Hendrix, from .zip file, everything went smoothly, but ttere was no audio. I tried unzipping it, and still no audio. Then began the true weirdness. I tried llstening to the mp3 in the preview panel in finder, and there was no sou...

So I wonder if it would be possible to write a separate application that sampled the audio stream and used the .txt file from the ultrastar file to allow kJ (or anything else) to add competition functionality without having to use kJ itself. Just run the audio in through the mac, sample the stream, ...

Certainly! That said, just as a side note, now that I think about it, I realize that an audio file with vocals is not necessary. I always assumed that it was comparing the notes sung (sampled) with the notes in the audio file (sampled.) Going over the file format, I realize now that it is just compa...

So I dissected the .txt file, and did some research. Here is what I was able to make out: Header The Header at the beginning of a TXT file MUST contain the following fields: #TITLE: #ARTIST: #MP3: #BPM: #GAP: Here is the header from the example file that comes with Ultrastar: #TITLE:Superstar (demo)...

On further iinvestigation, I have found that if I double click a cdg file in the finder, it loads and plays fine. I have also now found that drag and drop to the icon dock works fine. It is only when a song is dragged to the Library window that I get that dialog. Edit: It also appearts to happen whe...

1.0d49r4 error
As requested, here is the report: On running kJams, I was greeted with an autoupdate message, which I allowed. After the update, I tried to drag a song onto the window (there were currently no songs in the library.) Upon doing so I received a dialog box stating "Please wait until the sort tasks are ...

I have a bunch of Ultrastar stuff. I can e-mail it, or I can give you a torrent link I just tracked down, if you are so inclined, although the torrent'll get you a few hundred songs. I really don't know too much about the compatibility of the OSX version, since I don't have an intel machine, but the...
