I'm so glad to hear it's working. Yes i've had troubles from every corner using USB devices, (reported from many users) but never had trouble using FireWire devices.

this is not really a problem with kJams, but apparently the OS. I had stuck a CD into iTunes (which, unbeknownst to me, had some goop on it) and started ripping it. When it got to the track covered in goop, iTunes just hung my machine. Forever. Forcing a hard reboot. got the spinny beach ball, no ot...

actually a good number of them (depending on the build run) have "HL-DT-ST DVDRW GWA4080M" drives, which can certainly read. I'd like to confirm that they can also write, tho I suspect they can.They all seem to have the MATSHITA drives

no, just switch back into kJams, and the list is updated. Make sure the last template has a carriage return after it!

If the file name doesn't match a template then the template won't be enabled. Press the edit button and make a template that matches the songs. In this case your template would be:
L-T-R-S
with no spaces
L-T-R-S
with no spaces

yes you can import an existing library in (zipped or not) audio+G format. audio may be MP3, AIF, WAV, AAC or Vorbis.

not named properly
that's because some songs have spaces around the dashes and some don't. ie:
album-trk-artist-song
is NOT the same thing as
album-trk - artist - song
see the spaces around the dashes?
