send me a song

send me a song via email. kjams is pretty good at extracting the audio from just about every file type. if QuickTime can open it then so can kJams in theory, tho i may need to add an extension. be sure to install Perian. it is 'mp3 ' with a trailing space, and it's 'PYEh' just to be clear if you're ...

you mean LAME?

the MP3 codec i use is LAME, it's not really technically related to kJams. I presume you're asking about QuickTime Player scripting, sorry i don't know about that. May i ask why you're doing this? you could just import all your whatevers into kJams, then select all and re-encode them all at once int...

default

the default is: what it goes to if you don't change anything.

just don't look at it, let kJams do whatever it does.

and never, ever change a song's name or folder in the finder, after kJams has added it to the library. do all your data manipulation whithin kJams.

long, long story

preferences->tags->writing->conform song names: it's best to leave it at the default. before the advent of meta data (10.3) i tried to glean the meta data out of the name of the file. this seemed to be a standard format for zipped song names. you're not supposed to worry about the title of the file....

simple

yes if they're tagged with ID3 data, it's way simple: file->add to library, choose the folder, click "tags" and you're done.

my reply

Well i thought i already got that feature in there: Preferences->General->Auto Cue right now it's indented under "pause between tracks" so maybe you need that first, but seems like that should not be necessary. if it doesn't work let me know and i'll fix it!!! i recommend against editing your karaok...

pitch bending fixed

you should probably use AppleLossless as your encoder, you'll still get perfect files but save some room on your hard drive. You'll also be happy to know i've fixed the pitch bending right now for playback, assuming you have a fast computer (>990 mhz) and 10.4 and the latest quicktime. tonight's rel...
