Oh, just out of interest I have ordered a plextor external drive today. Once I can get it working I will be buying kJams pro. It does look a fine bit of software.

Kjams on the move ...

Forgive me if this is a bit of a noddy question but is there any reason why I can't install Kjams onto a keyring type USB drive? I would quite like to keep the ripped CDG data on more than one computer and move the application together with the lists of singers, their "tonight" lists, venues etc. on...

Christmas

Just a quick note to wish all the KJ's, teachers and singers the very best of everything this Christmas. May all your Christmas gigs be happy ones. Oh and a very very happy Christmas and prosperous new year to Dave. Don't do too much coding when you have been on the Christmas sherry. http://www.ukex...

CD+G Drives in the UK - Found one.

Took me a while but I have sourced an external drive in the U.K. Here. It supports CD+G according to the datasheet, and it has a Firewire interface.

Now all I have to do is get the cash. :?

Thanks Dave, I intend getting an external drive as soon as I can source one in the U.K.

Re: The instant I can, I will

Well I just want to let you know that Apple so far does not allow third parties to run programs on the iPod. The Games they sell on ITMS were hand selected by Apple and hand tuned by Apple (tho they came from third parties). But the rest of the planet of software developers are NOT allowed to run p...

Re: press the button?

why not just press the play/pause button? kJams does not run on the iPod, it only exports a movie, that you play on the iPod. By the time you have hung on to that last note and taken your bow the next track will have started. I have been looking for an ultra portable machine that will auto-cue for ...

iPods, can they be made to pause?

In the quest for ever lighter kit I would like to go out singing (solo vocalist not karaoke) with an iPod and a couple of speakers. The only problem is that my Minidisc system pauses at the end of the track whilst I waffle at the audience. The iPod has no such auto pause/cue feature. Is there any wa...

Choose Name Format question.

I have enjoyed looking around this site (very professional and informative). I am trying to get as much info as I can before investing in new hardware and your software. I came across this screenshot. http://www.kjams.com/screenshots/interpret.gif The problem is I don't really understand any of it. ...

I did look, but I can't even see the iMac mentioned. :?

I did see the draw loading Plexor 760a internal drive, but the iMac is a slot loader, hence my question.

Proud iMac owner wants to use kJams

Hi, this is my first post here. I teach singing. I use a range of backing material including CD+G discs. I would love to use kJams to create folders of backing tracks for each of my students. However I have an iMac G5. As this has a Panasonic optical drive I can't use it for reading or writing CD+G ...
