re: not playing

The most important thing you can do to help yourself out is to send me the console.log file of the session that failed. If you crashed too, then i'll also need the "crash report". For instructions on sending them, click here . I'll also need to know more details. eg: did you put in a CD and try to p...

"ain't on a CD"

in order to help you, with this or any bug, i need the log file from that session. Please send it to me. Instructions are here. http://www.kjams.com/wiki/Logs Part of the reason for that is you did not mention which version you have. I release new versions every week. The bug you mention could have ...

crash on startup

Hmmm, well, do you have the latest LAME? If not, download it here . Might be a good idea to install it anyway. If THAT doesn't work, please send me your log file. For instructions on how to do that, click here . To pre-emptively get this fixed ASAP, please also send me your (zipped) "kJams Library" ...

thinkin' about this

well 2 things I'm doing here:
1) make sure you have the latest version (my own hand rolled)
2) make sure you're registered (eSellerate does this)

i suspect it's eSellerate that's crashing here.
i think you can shut it off using LittleSnitch.

PC Version

Yes, well, the reason I did Mac first is that there are already a dozen CD+G players for PC and exactly zero for Mac. Who wants to start a business in a saturated market? (Well, now there is iStar, but that happened after kJams). Yes one day I expect I'll do a PC version, but not for a very long tim...

Can't help without more info

Well, where's the bug report? I'll need that in order to diagnose the problem.
And what is "new update"? Updates are so frequent you could be referring to any version, i need to know which one.

What the heck is "the wiki"?

Wiki is a Hawai'ian word, which means "quick," "fast," or "to hasten". Here's the definition from a Hawaiian dictionary . In this context it's a quick or fast way to edit web content. For a full definition, go here . I use a wiki as my kJams web site. This makes it so easy to add or change conent. T...

Ability to read == ability to burn (for an R/W drive)

If you can use kJams to RIP successfully using your drive, then when burning becomes available you can rest assured it will be able to burn as well. Please test your drives for ability to RIP, and if they *are* capable, please send me their stats so I can update the Compatible Drives list. Originall...
