what is the problems with USB drives in performance..?

Hi, I had a very stressful gig last night...at times...I will search for a song..find it...put it in que..then when I go to play it ..I get the first black screen with title on the bottom...usually it would then go to the splash screen of the song and play fine but in this case it just sits on the ...

when I add the "here" onto the KJ rotation list to attempt to uncheck a persons status to delete him and his song from the playlist order. ANY time I try to "uncheck" anyone ....KJam crashes ......help

I'm trying to find a way to remove people from the rotation list...thought I had the solution ...

I use a firewire sound card (Firebox) which enables MP3 players (not Itunes) to use the output of the card as a separate channel and the built in sound card (headphone out) as the second channel. Then I use a basic dj mixer and use the cross fader between songs ..I keep the mp3 player always playing ...

Dave.... in my opinion has updated this program to perfection....in the preference drop downs he has put a check box for "warn if current playing song will be interupted" making it impossible to ever accidently interrupt a person performing.
...This way you can really bounce around in the program ...

I desperately would like there to be a play lock...in that, once a person is singing there is NO WAY to accidentally interrupt them....there should be a warning screen before any change in the "Play State" ..this is standard on many hosting programs I use..or maybe a switch to turn the feature on or ...
