Catalina

Will Mac users have advanced warning to turn off automatic updates on our Macs before Catalina comes out? Or do you expect the 64-bit kJams to be ready before then?

Thanks

PaddleServer in my dock

When I start kJams, the application "PaddleServer" shows up in my dock. When I quit kJams, that application stops, but it remains in my dock until I remove it by hand. This started after I was running an application called Go64, which locates 32-bit applications. I saw this application which I was u...

Re: Getting ready for 64-bit kJams on OSX

So we try to run it, and it fails, we go to your web site and download the new version and it will install as an upgrade?

(I'm hoping it is a moot point and that we'll have the upgrade before it is required)

Getting ready for 64-bit kJams on OSX

If the 64-bit kJams isn't ready when OSX 15 is ready, I will try not to upgrade my Mac (I hope it doesn't upgrade automatically). My back-up kJams is on my wife's Mac. We have never used that except to test. Question: If her Mac upgrades to OSX 15, and then the 64 bit kJams is subsequently released,...

Re: Changing volume for a song

I created a heading named "volume". Then I played a song, and selected "Remember Song Volume". Odd, this song saved ".89". Yesterday's song saved ".90". Clicking "volume up" seems to always raise the volume up by ".05", with a maximum of 1.00.

Re: Changing volume for a song

So, maximum volume = 1. Testing, I found a song and it appears that the default volume is .9, and incrementing once will take it to .95, so volumes are already near the top.

Re: Changing volume for a song

OK, I moved the volume up on a song. It seems that I can only get one increased volume setting, and that setting is 1.00. I tried to see if I could edit that field by selecting it, but failed to grab it. (I suppose I could edit the .xml file) <key>volm</key> <real>1</real> Is this what I should be g...

Changing volume for a song

I have a song that needs to have its background music increased every time I play it. I see there's a heading setting that can be set (I have a tough time changing heading settings, but eventually get the field selected). What are valid settings? What is the default?

Re: Converting to Windows

I'm not going to publish my serial number. They will have to buy a new copy of kJams. It does seem to me that (whomever) might need to find a grandkid to follow the instructions on https://karaoke.kjams.com/wiki/Cloning though. (Depending upon who takes over).

Converting to Windows

I have kJams which I run twice a month at our Senior living complex. I'd like to write up some instructions that would allow someone to take over if I become unable to continue. I know how to copy my library from my iMac to another Mac (after they install kJams). But if whomever takes over has a Win...

Re: How does kJams decide a song has been purchased?

yup, it's a part of my residual income Will change my buying habits. I have downloaded both versions of a Karaoke song, as I have had troubles with my older Mac with .mov versions. Those should go away when you have 64-bit hardware assisted videos. .mov often look better, but typos won't be fixable...

Re: How does kJams decide a song has been purchased?

I didn't know you got money from buying via kJams. I had turned stores off, not wanting to be asked all the time to update the libraries, but turned stores on to write this post. A setting to update the lists in the background would be nice. KaraokeCloud doesn't show format. Karaoke.Net does, but wh...

Re: I would like to easily move to Rotation

That would work quite nicely.

I tend to double-click too much, often getting into "target mode", which I have no desire to use.

Ahh, I swtiched to buying from web sites as I can look at them better there. That's the difference. Thanks.
