Re: Cannot get Kjams Pro to run
Dave, I suspect that he may have been running from the applications folder, but downloading to the Downloads folder. Trashing original kJams from the alternate locations, not from where he was running it.

A handy kJams Launcher app
Instead of sleeping, I spent all night obsessing over an issue that had been buggin me for a while. The issue: Exposé hot corners and Spaces can ruin your show by causing the video window to tile on the screen, or even worse, slide off the screen altogether. I have hashed the problem around with our...

Re: Facts about Songs
OIC, well i think we're not understanding eachother about "multiple tracks for songs". Probably. I am using track as in individual songs. I was just concerned that if it was stored as a metadata tag, it would be associated with each track, just like all the other metadata is, in the associated XML ...

Re: kJams server "Events" list
I figured. That is why I will just look into a quick and dirty application to stream the log file to a window.
What about the playlist idea?

Re: kJams server "Events" list
Um, that would work, but in my head I had something more akin to the tasks window in mind, that listed these events in chronological order. As new events occurred (songs were added to the rotation) they would be inserted at the bottom. (Having it editable would just be a nice plus.) The whole point ...

Re: kJams server "Events" list
Well, let's see, contrary to our last discussion, Growl notifiers do NOT go through for non-server initiated singer events, so that is GOOD! As to additional ones, I had some ideas, but I forgot them all! Console monitoring is kinda a pain in the butt; not sure if it outweighs the benefit, but maybe...

Re: Facts about Songs
Less concerned about the time, than about the amount of space associated with all this extra data, pulled automagically from some online reservoir, that will then be added to every track. If you have multiple tracks for songs, then the same info will be duplicated, often more than tenfold, across th...

Re: Duet feature yet?
I suspect that it is less important that it be up to where kJams is, but rather that it is up to where, um, *cough, Sax & Dotty is.
Somehow, I think if you can keep it stable for 30 minutes at a time, you'll be good to go!

Re: Facts about Songs
I'll add my voice! COOL idea. And as a center position between the two interfaces, I would say give it a metadata tag, which lets you make a showscreen for it, to display as and when you choose, and a pop up, like the get info box now, that shows up only on the host's screen, so he can seem like the...

Re: Mp3+CDG to ZIP script or plugin?
Wrote (and posted) this a while back. Just use Automator to make it, well, automated. Drag and drop your files, or whole folders to the script, or place the script in the finder side bar and drag to that.

Re: Small server change...
I am already trapping the delete (i.e. backspace) key and passing it as Fn+del (i.e. delete) in my not-released, unofficial, definitely hacked version of mainscreen.html. I suppose I could post the code somewhere, but I have made LOTS of unofficial, probably not generically useful, changes and I am ...

Re: kJams server "Events" list
Yay growl support is here!!! Hammered away at it, after it being persnickety about turning itself on, and now it is chugging away nicely! (Still want a persistant list, but this is a GREAT start!)
Thanks!

Re: "song version" drop-down menu filter
Dave, I think what the OP meant was that he wanted to generate just a LIST without duplicates, allowing him then to select specific version from the drop down (thus cleaning up search results) NOT that he wanted to cull duplicates from the Library entirely.
Though I could be quite mistaken.
