make sure you're sorted by "PLI" or "Song ID" and definitely not by "Song", "Artist", or "Album" or anything you can change in the "Get Info" dialog.
if it STILL scrolls back to the top, try hitting the down arrow after, this should take you just below the last selected song? let me know.

go to kjams->preferences->advanced
set the "maximum visible activites" to zero

this means your database is corrupt. sorry about that. the only way out is to rebuild, or to restore to a previous backup when it was actually working, before the corruption.

you can buy your own wifi device (like an Eero), and plug THAT into your apartment network, then use THAT wifi for everything?
