My niece bought an HP DV920105 CA 16X DVD with LightScribe

Installed software QuickPlay - will read a karaoke CD

My Plextor 716UF external drive arrived yesterday.
However it's not working.
The drive tray won't stay in. When the tray button is
presses, it just cycles in and then stays out again.
I vacuumed it ( Google search - possible dirt on the tray sensor)
Upgraded the firmware form 1.09 to 1.10 - Mac ...

I see that the plug-in for burning a CDG requires OS 1.4.
Might this ever be available for OS 10.3 ?

My ibook has 10.3.9 currently.

I see that MTU make an external enclosure and sell the Plextor 760.

Anyone have experiences with this unit or the company ?

I'm new to karaoke and just setting up a system. I just bought a Music Maestro set. I have an ibook (10.3.9). I know the Plextor 760 is recommended, but I would prefer an external drive.

Can anyone recomend an external drive ?
