if your MP4 or m4v files are coming out zero size, you must delete your encoder prefs, then kJams will automatically re-create them.

Do these steps:

1. make sure you're on the very latest kJams.
2. run kjams
3. go to the Help menu, pick "reveal preferences"
4. quit kJams
5. in the folder that was revealed by kJams, delete the folders "import" and "export", NOTHING ELSE
6. run kjams
7. go to "preferences->importing"
8. make sure your codec / preset are correct
9. go to "preferences->exporting" if you use it
10. make sure your codec / preset are correct
11. hit OK

If you do all this it should work.
