I've done a phenomenal amount of work on my library and I want to back it up. (It took me 7 months solid work) I use Time Machine but I've decided to do extra back ups so I've gone to Folder/Music/kJams/kJams Library and copied that to another drive
Is this correct
Back up
Re: Back up
that's a good thing to back up. but actually, the real work is in the song files. back up your music files (either in the "kJams Music" folder or where ever you have them stored.
Re: Back up
Normally I'd agree but I only use my MacBook (Where I did the extensive work) for song list work
I've created a song list with just the songs that have been in the top 40 in this country or have been in movies/musicals etc. I deleted all the others and all the duplicates, spell checked everything and sent the result to the printers.
In this instance, that's the info I need to keep safe and I want it kept safe within kJams. There are no singers and no venues unless I'm testing something on a new kJams release.
Obviously the main music I use on the Mac Mini's I use is backed up, with each other acting as a back up i.e. I have several Macs with cloned HD's so they're safe cos if one goes down I could go to another venue and get another drive. What isn't backed up is the individual singers stuff and the library (another job to do)

Re: Back up
the "kJams Library" folder contains all your singers and venues. seems like you're all set.
Re: Back up
Hmmm, for song list, read Library. So do I need to copy something else over. Sorry to pester
Re: Back up
a "Folder" is in the Finder. a "Playlist" is in the kJams UI.
so when i say "kJams Library" folder, i mean literally the folder in the finder called "kJams Library"
