program not opening

i was using an older version and i went to upgrade. now when i double click on the programs icon, the icon appears in the dock breifly then dissapears and will not open. any suggestions? thanks.

1) if you look at your console log, it will tell you stuff that you might be able to figure out what to do yourself
2) if not, send me the console log. This is always the answer "send me the log file"

Yes you need this particular one, you can NOT use a Lame installation from someone else, tho mine will be compatible with others.
