Individual song volume levels

Hi Dave,

Is there a way to adjust the volume level of individual tracks? I have a few that are very low compared to the majority.
I searched the wiki, but couldn't find anything.

You can also run all your tracks through:

This will normalize across all tracks, and allow you to leave your volume set as it is.

This process happens inside the MP3, is lossless, and reversible!

It is because it is not recompressing the MP3. Instead it is doing a neat trick with the later ID3v2 standard which incorporates metadata that gives the ability to store a track relative volume adjustment. MP3Gain uses a statistical analysis to determine the correct gain to apply to each track.

Interesting but does QuickTime automatically use this info on playback or do I need to update kJams to take advantage of it?
