External DVD drive that appears to work

I'm a new kJams user. I had bought a 16x LaCie Lightscribe DVD R/W for iMovie burning purposes since my G4 Powerbook doesn't have a Superdrive. Much to my happy surprise (CDG not mentioned in the specs), it plays CDG disks with kJams and I was able to rip with it (within the limitations of the trial version of kJams Pro). This is the external DVD drive that is sold through the Apple store, and it has received mixed reviews, but it seems to work fine so far. Very relieved I won't need to put yet another external drive on my shopping list to advance my karaoke habits.

Hi, Im a newbie, My G4 powerbook drive would not work on cd+g. Got a LaCie external slimdrive, firewire drive. It will rip but will not burn on my powerbook G4. Stay with the compatible drives.
