Re: Occasional pause
Dropping audio sporadically just happened to me during a gig repeatedly a couple of nights ago for the first time. It took me awhile to figure out that it was the computer and then only because I saw what was happening on the monitor. When I opened my preferences.plist to up the "half ring buffer" I...

Re: General - Ultra High Tech Karaoke
Looks like the 16.0.2 also supports remote control via iPad. And can be had for under $1100.

Auto-texting alerts for rotation
I know this is probably a dumb idea...but lately our smoking laws have changed and increasingly there are people in the rotation who are not inside when it is their turn to sing. Also, I was trying to figure out a way that I could run karaoke at a street festival-style setting sprawled over a few bl...

Re: Reset Song ID Numbers
I figured that was the case. It's not really a huge issue, just every once in a while it crops up. Next books I'll do away with the song number. Much as I'd like to simply do away with books it's just not feasible at the moment.

Reset Song ID Numbers
Any plans in the works to give us the ability to do something like this? I wouldn't even ask about it except that the song number generating seems excessive. Every song I add now has 7 digits. Every new batch of songs that I add -- and sometimes it's just one song that I'm adding -- seems to increme...

HAHA...seriously? I either didn't know or didn't remember that kJams could just use the KTP file. I dug up an older mac and exported from TunePrompter. *doh*

Re: Pitch Control
I think what that KJ may have been referencing is that SOME CD-G players adjust pitch by varying the playback speed (faster tempo = higher pitch, slower tempo = lower pitch). The machine I used for years for my show worked this way and was infinitely adjustable by percentage, and not in half-step in...

Re: WARNINGS! and custom song lists by singer
Just had an idea from something karaknight posted...going with the idea of additional folders for singers...what if there was an advanced option like "Clear all 'tonight' lists" but it was, "End show" and it dumped all current songs for each singer into an "unsung" folder under their names along wit...

WARNINGS! and custom song lists by singer
It might be nice to get a warning if you add a song to a singer who's not already "here" and they still have songs in their cue. So, if Singer A has songs in their "tonight" list but they aren't in the rotation yet, if you add a song to their list you get a prompt that says, "hey, they've already go...

Re: Mixer Recs?
I've been considering upgrading to a Mackie powered mixer with some built in compression capabilities. The PPM608 is what I've been considering.
The Peavy powered amp that I have is ok, but underpowered. The effects on it aren't really worth a mention.
