rotation robustness request
thread bump, squeaky wheel, rotation robustness request (duets, groups, "song on disc", 2-fers, skippy singer) I'm still managing the rotation with slips -- it's more flexible, but I miss out on some Pro features. A few singers hang out all night, but choose to sing approx. every-other rotation. It ...

jfbiii seems like he's got a good gig. I agree with what was said, with the addition of: some venues are mostly country, some are mostly hip-hop & rap, some are mostly 50s 60s 70s karaoke venues are kinda like radio stations, but more flexible. You'll get some variety mixed in with the main genres f...

sweet!
Excellent plans for an already great app!
One feature I didn't see mentioned: TWO-FER. When the rotation only has a few singers, I like to give the singers the option of doing 2 songs back-to-back. So far, nobody has turned me down.

skip singer-smoking
Situation: singer is outside smoking, or in the bathroom, etc. I just want to skip them and come back to them in 4-8 minutes, but I do NOT want to move them in the rotation. This is the number one reason why I handle the rotation with slips and search / play songs one at a time (singers names are NO...

video mirroring
maybe the video adapter was loose on the notebook
maybe your PRAM or SMC needs to be reset. (depends if you have an Intel processor or PowerPC)
check www.apple.com/support and search for "reset smc" or PRAM

sound quality from Super CDG
The one time I ripped from a SCDG the sound came out as 128 kbps ...great for earbuds, less-than-ideal for a professional sound system doing the math, 1000 songs on 4.7 GB "CD" (actually a DVD) works out to 4.7 MB per song. Subtract 1.0 MB for the graphics portion, and you end up with 3.7 MB for the...

As always, a great application! When one reads the documentation makes it even better! I noticed since adding the Publisher column to the Library, a search sometimes (not every time) takes about 10 seconds (2 Ghz Intel core 2 duo, 2500 songs) and I get a task "filtering, please wait". 10 seconds is ...

publisher field column
I have several discs that have songs from more than one publisher. I was changing the letters in the Album field to reflect this, but this is not a great work-around. For one thing, you can't search on Album:### (gotta start with letters) Then I found the Publisher field / column. Sounds just like w...

ASK has some great music, but...
I was getting ready to buy some of these. But I definitely don't want to support DRM copy protection
Maybe I can send a signal and just by the non-DRM discs.
Brenden, can you supply a list of good and bad discs from ASK?

Ok, FINALLY caught it in the act... Intel MacBook, plug or unplug the audio cord while the song is playing, the OS or hardware pauses the audio until it figures out what you're doing and then continues where it left off Meanwhile, kJams has continued to put the graphics up as it should. now it's out...

I had that same problem last night. I was stumped for a while until I realized that I had removed the # column and was sorting by some other column If you don't see a column with the header # then right-click (or control-click) on the column headers, the first one is # Then sort by that column. -ran...

wiki
My pleasure to help! I wrote 3/4 of that page in the wiki after going through the same troubles http://www.kjams.com/wiki/Recording I encourage anyone with any amount of writing skills to contribute to the kJams wiki. It's quite rewarding. If you've never edited a wiki page, it's WAY easier than it ...
